DENVER, Oct. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Industrial-grade CNC plasma cutting machines producer Arclight Dynamics worked exclusively with Raincatcher to successfully run a process and list the company for sale at $30MM, and had multiple offers at or above the list price.
The decision to sell came after more than 10 years of steady growth born from CEO Scott Cunningham's garage into an $11MM annual company in a now $1.36 billion industry. Arclight was founded in 2010 as a niche-market manufacturer for hobbyists and small businesses. Founded on principles of continuous improvement– Arclight's employees even use Arclight products themselves– its price point, industrial quality, and peerless customer service pushed it forward as a leader among introductory and light industrial table sellers.
Arclight has experienced year-over-year growth of in excess of 30% since its inception, averaging 61.33% SDE growth per year for the last three years– and it never engaged in paid marketing until 2018. Just prior to the kickoff of its first marketing campaign, Arclight had more than doubled the size of its manufacturing facility, priming it for maximized growth potential in the future.
"What most impressed me with Raincatcher's sales process was the attention to detail. They really helped me paint my company in the best light, and both tell the story of Arclight while [showcasing] our strengths," says Cunningham of his experience with Raincatcher. "Helping to drive home those [strongpoints], we were able to get a better value for the business."
Founded in Denver, Colorado, Raincatcher is a modern small business brokerage, setting new bars for its industry. Raincatcher works with companies and buyers alike to not only optimize each company's sale price but also match them to the right buyer. Using digital marketing tactics and powered by its spirit of successful matchmaking, Raincatcher saw great potential in Arclight's family-run business and was able to work with Cunningham on priming the company for sale.
"Everything about Arclight, from its strong management– who operate independently of Cunningham– to its quality support staff, to its cash flow growth, not to mention its spacious facility, made it a perfect fit as a Raincatcher listing," says Raincatcher CEO Marla DiCarlo.
The Arclight purchaser is made by and among The Peninsula Fund VII Limited Partnership, a Delaware limited partnership ("Peninsula"), APC Arclight Holdco, LLC, a [Delaware] limited liability company ("APC"), Cascade Steel Works LLC, an Oregon limited liability company ("CSW").
