DUNN, N.C., Aug. 9, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The City of Dunn received a Placemaking Grant from the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® to help revitalize a downtown alleyway and provide a safe gateway for citizens visiting downtown businesses.
RRAR launched the Vibrant Community Grant Program in 2021 and awards funding to local municipalities in Wake and Harnett Counties to help create new public spaces and destinations within their communities. The alleyway revitalization project is the second grant project for RRAR in Harnett County and the first in Dunn.
"This is our second grant project in Harnett County, and we have enjoyed the opportunity to give back to the communities that we serve. said Brett Bushnell, 2021 President of RRAR. We hope this grant will provide a safe walkway for downtown visitors and will continue to bolster small businesses. We look forward to continued collaboration with elected leaders, local staff, and community organizations on future projects that make this region a great place to live."
The alleyway at 215 E Broad Street will officially open Tuesday, August 17th.
