Beltsville, MD (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 -- Vocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOCS), a leading provider of cloud-based marketing and public relations software, today announced that Randi Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media and editor-in-chief of Dot Complicated, will headline Demand Success 2014, its annual marketing and PR conference.
During Zuckerberg’s keynote presentation, she will provide insights on managing the complicated digital world with examples from her New York Times best-selling book, “Dot Complicated,” a memoir of her tenure as Facebook’s marketing lead and career since then. She will provide expert advice on privacy, online presence, networking, etiquette and the future of social change. Attendees will also learn how technology and social media influence and inform people, online and off.
As an early executive at Facebook, Zuckerberg created and ran the social media pioneer's marketing programs. In 2011, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her innovative coverage of the 2010 midterm elections that integrated online and television coverage in unique formats. Since founding Zuckerberg Media, she has produced shows and digital experiences for the Clinton Global Initiative, Cirque du Soleil, Bravo and Condé Nast.
“Facebook is one of the largest drivers behind the evolution of modern marketing,” said Vocus Chief Marketing Officer You Mon Tsang. “Zuckerberg’s extraordinary experience and integral role during the early days of Facebook, in addition to being a successful entrepreneur, will bring powerful insights to the marketing and PR professionals in attendance.”
Demand Success 2014 is a two-day marketing and public relations conference that takes place June 5-6, 2014 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in the Washington, D.C. area. Zuckerberg will join fellow keynote speakers including Emmy-nominated actor, entrepreneur and musician Adrian Grenier, “Web Analytics 2.0” author and Google Digital Marketing Evangelist Avinash Kaushik, and world-renowned crisis communicator and inspiration for the hit TV show “Scandal” Judy Smith. A pre-conference training for Vocus customers will be held on June 4, 2014.
