Residential Assisted Living National Association Launches during the Residential Assisted Living National Convention
The Residential Assisted Living National Association held its kickoff during the Residential Assisted Living National Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 5th.
GILBERT, Ariz., Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Residential Assisted Living or "RAL" is assisted living care in a residential setting in contrast to the large hospital-like institutions. RAL homes are modified residential homes in residential neighborhoods where seniors can continue to be part of the community.
"Residential Assisted Living providers handle a half of all the assisted living care for seniors in the U.S. As regulators and legislators begin to turn their attention to the tsunami of Baby Boomers turning 65, we are happy to offer these care providers a voice to influence the coming changes," Brian J. Pinkowski, President of the Residential Assisted Living National Association.
Anticipating more than 1,000 members across the U.S. the Association is focused on:
- Group purchasing power with access to over 200 companies.
- Lobbying and legal support focused on the Fair Housing Act and Zoning.
- National Marketing for RAL homes.
- Continuing education for direct care staff.
- Newsletters addressing important issues facing RAL homes.
- Strengthening and supporting the RAL community.
- Access to opportunities, investors, and qualified operators and administrators.
"Surveys tell us that residential assisted living is preferred to nursing homes and large institutional facilities. The owners of Residential Assisted Living homes now have a voice and support that can help them across the nation," Gene Guarino, CEO and Founder of the Residential Assisted Living Academy.
