Ridg Downs Releases Midnight Scars EP
Ridg Downs is a 23-year old American singer-songwriter and actor, originally from Des Moines, Iowa. The release of Midnight Scars highlights the first EP for the singer, under the independent label Up With Downs Music.

Downs moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to further his education at CSUN. While in Iowa, he participated in numerous musicals and plays. Live theatre and frequent music performances helped Ridg fall in love with the art of music. He is a classically trained singer who grew up in a world of musical theatre. This love for musical theatre helped him eventually transition to the pop sound you hear in his music today.
Songwriting was not something Ridg ever intended to get into, but realized he had a talent for as he made his way through college. Using every day, common place life experiences as the foundation for his early songs, he began writing as frequently and as often as he could.
Growing up in Iowa with Midwest roots left an imprint on Ridg's heart. He understands the importance and simplicity of a smile as well as helping those in need. Whether he is co-writing, interacting with an industry professional, or even conversing with newfound friends, Ridg always does his best to make those around him feel genuinely welcomed.
Fitness and physical health are important cornerstones in Ridg's life. He loves to exercise with friends and encourages those around him to live healthy lifestyles. He is also very passionate about the environment, mentally challenged students, and suicide prevention, especially in LGBTQ+ youth.
Ridg's release of Midnight Scars highlights the first ever EP for the singer. It consists of six songs: Move On, Because of You, Bad Vibes, Friends, F U, and Just Exes. With this recent release, Ridg is hard at work maintaining and promoting his platforms as well as continuing to work on new projects.
