Rocketbook, World’s First Microwaveable Notebook, Announces Addition of Android App After Crowdfunding Over $230,000
BOSTON (PRWEB) March 12, 2015 -- Rocketbook is the cloud-integrated notebook that can be erased and reused after popping it into the microwave for 30 seconds. And, in less than one week, Rocketbook has exceeded its funding goal by 1100%, raising over $230,000 on Indiegogo.
In response to overwhelming demand from the Android community, Rocketbook creator Joe Lemay announced that the Rocketbook app will be available for Android devices in August, 2015. The Android app will be compatible with all of the same programs as the iOS app such as Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive, email and more.
The iOS, and now Android, Rocketbook app uses image-capturing technology to efficiently capture, enhance and organize handwritten notes and blast them into the appropriate folder in the cloud. Using a unique and intuitive system, Rocketbook users simply mark symbols at the bottom of each notebook page to send notes to specific locations in Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, email inboxes and more.
Users can erase and reuse Rocketbook by throwing it into the microwave for 30 seconds when using FriXion pens made by Pilot. The heat-sensitive ink turns transparent so the Rocketbook can be reused many times after notes are sent to the cloud.
“We are ecstatic that Rocketbook is a hit,” said Lemay. “We had such a great response from the Android community who wants to get in on the fun as well. We want Rocketbook to be open to everyone, and thanks to all of our supporters, we now have the resources to deliver a great product on Android too.”
By including an Android-compatible app, the creators of Rocketbook hope to reach a wider audience of people who value the convenience of technology but enjoy the natural ability to capture notes with traditional paper and pen. Designers, entrepreneurs, engineers, students and business executives are expressing their anticipation by pre-ordering before the campaign ends on April 3rd.
For a limited time, users get lifetime access to the Rocketbook app on Apple iOS and Android, one Pilot FriXion pen, and one Rocketbook that is good for up to 25 recommended reuses for $25. See the Rocketbook demo by visiting the Indiegogo campaign or emailing mary(at)rocketboard(dot)it.
