LONDON, June 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are to release an album of the greatest dance anthems on the 24th June.
Partnering with specialist company Swan Music Limited, the album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in June 2018 and features such dance floor classics as Robert Miles's Children, Inner City's Good Life and CeCe Peniston's Finally.
Unlike similar offerings from The Hacienda and Pete Tong, The Royal Philharmonic focus wholly on pure orchestral instrumental interpretations arranged and scored by Swan Music Creative Director Danny McCormack.
McCormack explains," The last decade has been very exciting for the RPO with many of the world's top artists being given tremendous new leases of life through re-imaginations of their classic recordings. Here at Swan Music we wanted to create something that celebrated the classic dance anthems but would also stand alone as instrumental orchestral works, this collection of music can be performed without the need for electronics or synthesised elements yet it brings a new level of detail, punch and cinematic depth to the royal philharmonics impeccable repertoire""
Ian Maclay, director of the RPO added, "The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was delighted to be involved in the Dance Anthems recording. The orchestral arrangements are excellent and the players really enjoyed playing them. The RPO hopes that this album will reach a new audience that would not normally listen to an orchestra and will be thrilled to hear the full RPO give these great numbers the symphonic treatment."
Iain Kerr, Managing Director of Swan Music continued "We are all very excited about the release which has been over ten years since we initially had the idea. Hopefully we have brought something different to the table and to partner with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as well as recording at Abbey Road has made this project amazing"
