Contribution furthers the Saul Schottenstein Foundation B's mission to further consciousness of our connection and shared human spirit by supporting the Over-the-Rhine International Film Festival's mission to tell stories that celebrate the human spirit.
CINCINNATI, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Saul Schottenstein Foundation B has created a million-dollar challenge grant for Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD), organizers of the 2018 Over-the-Rhine International Film Festival (Film Festival). As a five-year commitment, for every 75 dollars raised by LADD, the Film Festival will receive 25 dollars from the Saul Schottenstein Foundation B.
Jeffrey P. Harris, Saul Schottenstein's nephew and a trustee of the foundation, believes the contribution furthers the foundation's mission to further consciousness of our connection and shared humanity by celebrating and embracing the Over-the Rhine Film Festival's themes of Diversity, Disability, and Difference. The Film Festival takes place September 26 – 30, 2018, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The 2018 Over-the-Rhine Film Festival will showcase over 35 feature length and short films by Hollywood and independent filmmakers from around the world.
Guided by the belief that every person has ability and value, LADD empowers adults with developmental disabilities to live, work, and connect. In 1976, LADD began one of the first education-based residential programs for independent living in the Cincinnati area. They provide a variety of community-based services and residential services for adults with disabilities in Hamilton County.
