SECUR O&G Receives 2018 EBJ Business Achievement Award for Investment in New Materials Management Facility
SECUR O&G recognized for opening state-of-the-art facility for the safe processing and disposal of NORM/TENORM liquid and solid wastes generated by oil and gas operators in the Marcellus and Utica Shales
PITTSBURGH, Feb. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SECUR O&G won an award for outstanding business performance in 2018 from Environmental Business Journal®. SECUR O&G received its award in the category of "Investment: New Facilities" for its Oil and Gas Waste Materials Management Facility serving the Marcellus-Utica Shale region in OH, PA and WV.

In August 2018, SECUR O&G opened the Oil and Gas Waste Materials Management Facility in Friendly, WV for the proper transport and disposal of NORM/TENORM. The facility is the first of its kind to be approved by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources to store and process TENORM-related waters and solids.

The facility was designed by the SECUR O&G leadership team and features dedicated, enclosed buildings and air monitoring. All processing and storage areas have secondary containment to further safeguard the environment. An independent, certified on-site laboratory operated by Perma-Fix Environmental Services performs radiological analysis of NORM/TENORM material.
SECUR Senior Vice President of Sales Chris Vidovich will accept the award on behalf of SECUR O&G at a special ceremony to be held during the Environmental Industry Summit XVII in San Diego, CA on March 20, 2019.
