Status Transportation Sets Sights on Growth and Opportunity for 2019
As the year 2018 comes to an end, Status Transportation reflects on the opportunities, challenges and growth the company has experienced--all while looking forward to a promising 2019
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 2, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Status Transportation Corp., a leading ground freight and cargo services company for Owner Operators, is continuing to focus on growth and the continued support for its Owner Operators in anticipation for a busy New Year 2019.
Status Transportation has been a pacesetting company since its creation in 2009. Since then, the company has continuously evolved by building on a foundation of strong values and dedication to becoming leaders in the commercial transportation arena.
In addition, Status Transportation has made its Owner Operators the central focus of the entire operation. And that is just how this mighty Central Florida company has become a change agent for the reinvention of the traditional independent-owner business model in the trucking industry.
The mid-term government elections caused a bit of a slowdown in the industry. However, once these were over, the commercial transportation industry quickly re-engaged and there are no impending road blocks in the foreseeable future. But while the industry is back to business-as-usual, Status Transportation continues to look at 2019 for the opportunities it could bring.
An expected continuous decrease in oil prices will have a direct—and positive—effect on Owner Operators, allowing them to see an increase in profitability due to lower diesel prices.
"We welcome lower diesel prices, which don't just benefit our Owner Operators, but the company's profitability as a whole," said John L. Statkus of Status Transportation. "Owner Operators are the lifeline of our company."
Another positive effect in Status Transportation was the adoption of electronic logging, which was adopted by its Owner Operators by the December 2017 implementation deadline. Electronic Logging Devices—ELDs as known in the trucking industry—are required by commercial drivers as a way to keep a Record of Duty Status (RODS).
Status Transportation remains at the forefront of regulatory implementation and the company has experimented with various ELDs to find the right fit for the Owner Operators.
With this in mind, Status Transportation's goal is to continue to provide the best and easiest to use services for this mandatory logging device—continuing to analyze industry trends and new technologies throughout 2019.
Other items in focus for 2019 include purchasing new trailers for Owner Operators as part of a Lease Purchase Trailer Program designed to allow CDL drivers to a clear path to their personal business growth. After all, the autonomy that Owner Operators enjoy is a major benefit of working with Status Transportation and this program makes for a win-win opportunity for both the company and the drivers.
It should be noted that in 2018 Status Transportation rented additional commercial space in Atlanta, Georgia, allowing for its expansion and the continued support of its Owner Operators. This last move is helping make this national hub better suited to allow the drivers to have service, inspections and enjoy the lounge during their long hauls.
Status Transportation is about to celebrate its first decade and 2019 should bring new reasons to celebrate as the company continues to thrive and lead the commercial trucking industry with its innovative strategies and services.
