LAS COLINAS, Texas, Aug. 1, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The new Rayleigh Underground entertainment venue located at the Toyota Music Factory will feature spectacular rock and stone finishes provided by StoneCoat Materials. The project showcases the dynamic potential of StoneCoat materials in creating interior and exterior surfaces with the look and feel of authentic rock, stone and stucco in an easy-to-apply limestone plaster cladding.
The Rayleigh Underground stands as a modern marvel, fusing innovative technology with the raw aesthetic of an excavated, underground amphitheater. Reminiscent of ancient ruins, StoneCoat materials were pivotal in making this inspired vision a reality.
"We wanted to create a unique and memorable guest experience at the Rayleigh Underground," said Kim Forsythe, CEO of Restaurant Expert Management, Inc. "StoneCoat materials were the perfect way to capture the essence of the rediscovered underground amphitheater and bring it to life with texture, tones, and a variety of finishes throughout the venue."
Guests of the Rayleigh Underground will be captivated as they enter the venue, which is lined with large-format sheer rock walls. These walls, created using StoneCoat materials, give an authentic impression of an amphitheater carved deep into the earth's rock surface.
The stage walls, featuring weathered rubble and plaster suggestive of centuries of water erosion and exposure to elements, add to the experience of being in an ancient venue. The large blocks representing cut stones on the proscenium and stage walls offer a tangible sense of historical structural support.
"The dramatic finishes at the Rayleigh Underground make the venue truly unique," said Chris Michero, co-founder and design principal at Emblem Interior Design. "StoneCoat materials were the perfect way to bring our vision to life, and we're thrilled with the results."
The distinctive finishes provided by StoneCoat materials add a tangible depth to the venue. Every detail, from the texture to the tones and variety of finishes, breathes life into the immersive venue experience, making each visit truly unique and memorable for guests.
"StoneCoat is proud to have been able to contribute to such a remarkable project" said Conor Butts, chief operating officer for StoneCoat. "Our materials are designed to enable architects and designers to bring their most ambitious visions to life, and the Rayleigh Underground perfectly showcases the dramatic potential of our products."
StoneCoat brought this project to life under the creative direction of expert carver, Marcos Albajez Lopez (IG: @decoracionenpiedra). Marcos has years of experience carving replica stone structures and architectural features in Spain, and his training and guidance helped guide the project to be historically accurate.
To experience the magic of the Rayleigh Underground for yourself, visit the Toyota Music Factory in Las Colinas. You'll be treated to a unique entertainment experience and a dazzling display of the innovative possibilities that StoneCoat materials can offer.
