PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Left Brain / Right Brain, LLC announces Stylebook Closet App's 10th anniversary in the App Store. The closet management app has gained a global following, with customers in dozens of countries, many of whom have been using the application for years. "Over the last ten years, we've been quietly transforming the way thousands of men and women get dressed," says Stylebook co-founder Jess Atkins. Created by a husband and wife team, Jess and Bill Atkins, in 2009, the software has grown from a simple clothing and outfit inventory inspired by Jess's experience interning in the Vogue fashion closet, to a comprehensive closet management system that encompasses over 90 features.
Since its launch, Stylebook has worked toward the goal of helping its customers see their wardrobes as cohesive collections by providing a visual inventory of their real clothes, along with powerful tools like a searchable calendar, customizable packing lists and wardrobe statistics. "As we approach 2020, I see Stylebook as more essential than ever. Women around the globe are starting to break up with fast fashion and they are searching for ways to extend the life of their current wardrobe without wearing the same thing everyday. They still want to have fresh looks to post on social media, but don't necessarily want to continuously shop to make that happen. Stylebook provides tools like worn history statistics to help them use their current wardrobe more efficiently. We also offer a feature called Outfit Shuffle that suggests new outfit ideas using what's in their closet," says Atkins. "It's totally possible to have fun with fashion by getting creative and styling your way to new looks - without shopping for a new outfit every week."
Reviewer tsmithartist says, "I swear of ALL the apps I use for everything—not clothes, this is my absolute favorite!! YES, it requires input from you but once you get the hang of it and load your items, it's awesome!" This customer is not alone: Stylebook has 4.7 stars with other 4,500 reviews in the Apple App Store. "The company is continuing to grow, and we're developing new ways to improve the user experience. For example, we're addressing how to make the inventory process faster by integrating tools like the web clipper. This feature lets users save clothing images from almost any website instantly from within the app. It takes just seconds to copy and paste the URL or image into the app to create a clothing entry. Small improvements like this make it easier for those who haven't yet taken the plunge to get started," says Bill Atkins, Stylebook Co-founder and Technical Lead.
"The ultimate goal of Stylebook is to help customers maximize their wardrobe. We're seeing a move towards more intentional wardrobe building, and Stylebook is perfectly poised to support that," says Jess Atkins. As one customer wrote in a review from June 2019, "I was trying to wear out certain pieces of my wardrobe and figure out how to use others that had been sitting in storage. This app really helped me to do both. I have been using it for several years. It helps to justify each purchase by letting me consider complete outfits prior to purchase of an item."
Throughout the month of October, Stylebook will be sharing various stories themed around the number 10 on its website in celebration of their 10th anniversary, including a story on 10 ways to get more wears out of your clothes using Stylebook's tools.
