The industry-leading NIL initiative connects university/college alumni with its program for eligible athlete's parents so they can provide sponsored hotel rooms for parents and family members who want to see their student athlete perform in-person. It solves 50-year problem where parent's have invested in their student-athlete since childhood and now cannot afford to attend games and support their on-field, on-court performances.
DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 26, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Team FanClub announced today the launch of its hotel room initiative aimed at solving the alumni-donor challenge for colleges across the United States, in all levels and divisions. Team FanClub becomes one of the nation's leading fully integrated NIL (name, image, and likeness) third-party administrators for student athletes in all divisions, sports, and genders.
The initiative connects university/college alumni with its program for eligible athlete's parents so they can provide sponsored hotel rooms for parents and family members who want to see their student athlete perform in-person. At Team FanClub, we believe that sponsoring a hotel room will give great relief to parents who struggle to travel because of distance, current inflation, and high gas prices to watch their daughter or son play in college.
According to a March 2022 research report, the average alumni giving rate during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years was 8% (U.S. News). Alumni associations across the country are seeking innovative, high-value methods to engage and activate their broad alumni base and not simply rely upon a relatively small, high-dollar donor pool.
Today's alumni are being challenged to donate in the last year to NIL, but most athletic departments perceive NIL as extra money on top of "Pell Grants" and "Cost of Attendance" awards. Team FanClub products directly service the actual needs of the athletes' parents to see more games. We expect to give donors more guidance navigating potentially complex NIL situations and products. What's more, we offer a personally relevant connection to a real family need not currently addressed by any NCAA Name, Image, and Likeness vendors.
"Family financial realities are very personal and varied; managing their needs and delivering options at the right moment will drive culture, response, loyalty, and growth! The Alumni we serve are looking for more than just the ability to make a general donation. They want to have a more direct and tangible way of helping student athletes...and their families. Team Fanclub Inc. provides alumni, fans, and friends of the University with the insights and products to meet those expectations,' added Butch Carter, Founder and CEO of Team FanClub and former BIG TEN basketball player and professional coach.
For the schools and athletes, Team FanClub, with the help of our hotel program, solves a 50+ year-old problem for parents who have invested their entire lives into their student athlete, and now isolated by NIL and cannot afford to see them perform.
Sponsoring a hotel room allows alumni, collectives, and fans of a university to cover hotel expenses (room charge, damage deposits, room cancellation insurance, and occupancy/state taxes) for an athlete's family or guardian so they can attend a game.
Darrin McMillon, father of University of Florida sophomore football player Donovan McMillon noted, "Coach Carter and Team FanClub has been absolutely essential to our family in helping us get travel and hotel money for our enjoyment of the game and seeing our son. He is very professional and a class act to work with and this experience adds to the overall relationship we have with the school and to our son's NIL opportunity, DM13 LLC."
"Up until now, coaches, athletic directors and student athletes had no viable solution to assist parents. Further, on a broader scale, Collectives must patch together solutions and manage a cumbersome process to deliver personalized offers that created individual alumni engagement for the total alumni base. With Team FanClub, the process is simplified into one process, yet is incredibly powerful and built to identify the athlete or family need and track the process for any student athlete, in any sport, of any gender," added Butch Carter.
Mr. Carter added, "We are seeking Collectives, alumni associations, podcast, sports media shows, etc. to partner with us and provide real support to student athletes and their parents through our unique NIL program and product suite. Further, we provide a new avenue for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, through unilateral gender, race, and socio-economic outreach."
Team FanClub has a proprietary process and portal that serve the school, gender, sport, and sponsor while managing each student's NIL agreements and funding.
