To build a network of Black-owned real estate development companies
ATLANTA, April 20, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Integral Group (Integral), a vertically integrated real estate development and investment firm, announces the launch of the Integral Collaborative, to build and support a talented network of Black-owned real estate development companies in major urban hubs across the country.
The Integral Collaborative will assist Black-owned real estate development firms through mentoring, access to capital, and opportunities for growth in all phases of planning and development. "By participating in the Integral Collaborative, the learning curve to becoming stable, productive developers will be significantly shortened for members and their projects are far more likely to be successful," said Daryl Jones, The Integral Group's Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate. "Helping our members discern potential project pitfalls, helping them recognize whether they should walk away from an opportunity, or providing insights to our experiences with equity investors and financial institutions are examples of the invaluable assistance members will receive.
"Black-owned CRE enterprises comprise only approximately 400 of the estimated 112,000 CRE enterprises in the United States. The Integral Collaborative aims to change that. Piloting the concept last year, Integral worked with Brandon Rule of Rule Enterprises in Milwaukee, WI. Together Rule and Integral are collaborating on responses for over $1 Billion worth of development projects. "From the financing of public infrastructure through bonds, to the importance of mixed income communities, working alongside The Integral Group has drastically accelerated my learning curve," said Rule.
Chairman and CEO of The Integral Group, Egbert Perry, will highlight some of the participating companies and finance partners during today's address at the 2023 Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards where he will accept the 2023 Best in Atlanta Real Estate Visionary Award.
"I'm a part of a generation of Black business owners with the opportunity and responsibility to do what we can to reach back and to help others by providing access to capital, opening doors of opportunity, and sharing lessons learned," said Perry. "Together, these businesses will be better positioned to satisfy the market requirements of their projects and significantly increase the likelihood of their success."
In addition to mentoring and access to seasoned experts, Integral has recruited two mission-driven, forward-thinking financial institutions, Reinvestment Fund and Berkadia to assist the members in achieving early successes.
