The Kostro Group enters their latest market in Syracuse, New York
In addition to the new Syracuse site, the Group plans on opening offices in Rochester and Buffalo by the end of the year. "Our Albany team is currently executing 3-5 wholesale deals per month. In addition to building new relationships, our goal is to be operating across our 4 Upstate New York markets by January of 2021."
SYRACUSE, N.Y., Sept. 1, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Kostro Group is a startup real estate investment firm headquartered in Albany, NY. The company is founded by Jimmy Kostro and Jessica Thomson. Kostro, a delivery and logistics entrepreneur, founded Meal Plan Delivery: the largest same-day delivery provider for freshly prepared, subscription-based health foods in America. Thomson, a British native, left for Spain at the age of 24, learned the language, and owned and operated a restaurant in southern Spain until the end of 2019 at age 29.
This latest business venture came into conception in April of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Jimmy Kostro, who shares his lifelong fascination with residential real estate with his sister Erin Roth, is delighted to bring her onto the team. Roth, now a partner at the firm, left her former role as a lab technician at St Mary's Healthcare, and took up a full time position at The Kostro Group. Within her first 2 months, Erin contracted 4 properties and sold all of them in less than 2 weeks. In June, Thomson and Kostro quickly determined that she would need a much greater radius to sustain her passion, drive and determination. In July, Roth made the decision to fast track her market knowledge by enrolling in and graduating from Manfred's Real Estate School in New York. In August, Erin's largest deal to date closed, bringing in $35,000 in commission to The Kostro Group.
"I have always built business based on honesty, selflessness, and ultra transparency. At TKG, genuinely caring about the home owners' interests and making sure he or she is understood and getting exactly what they desire is mission critical. It is important to us that our partners and investors are earning healthy enough profits to build long lasting relationships, especially being the new kids on the block. Clear, concise expectations and proactive open lines of communication are always the center of what we are doing here," said Kostro of the new company's culture and guiding principles. "We have teams in 3 time zones supporting the upstate NY operations, providing technologies and platforms to collaborate. Sharing and updating each other is vital to everyone's success. Growing our local culture is a constant evolution. Our team is clear on its goals and we are incentivized through compensation structure, recognition, freedom to work independently and to be rewarded based on performance rather than the hand of the clock."

"Our Albany team is currently executing 3-5 wholesale deals per month. In addition to building new relationships, our goal is to be operating across our 4 Upstate New York markets by January of 2021. Many of our buyers and sellers do not know that Jessica and I love traveling, working out and dogs. We also established the New York based operation while in the country of Laos in South East Asia."
