The brainchild of mompreneurs (Stephanie Issa, Christine Ong Forsythe and Christine Dawood) who meet the demographic they're catering to, The Lullabar is the newest opportunity for moms to socialize and meet up with other moms and receive nail salon services and/or attend a motherhood workshop.
The aim is to make self-care easily accessible for the everyday mom. It addresses the isolation many new moms feel in this chapter of their lives and leaves judgment and guilt at the door.
"Our cafe is where moms enjoy a 'time-out' while the kids revel in fun and learning activities to keep them safely entertained," said Issa. "We provide a calming atmosphere that's not overstimulating for children while their much-deserving parent gets to focus on their wellness by meeting up with other moms for coffee or matcha, booking a mani/pedi, attending a motherhood workshop or enjoying a workspace."
Self-care workshops (from $30 to $60) will include various topics, from breastfeeding to CPR, postpartum mental health, parenting for picky eating and fostering speech and language development. Moms are encouraged to book a reservation for the kids at the play gym during a time slot that fits their self-care reservation. The childcare cost is $30 per child per two-hour reservation ($20 for a sibling and $15 for a third child).
The intimate nail salon offers a relaxing and cozy atmosphere with spa-like services, such as paraffin treatments, privacy curtains, and aromatherapy treatments.
The new storefront is perfect for moms seeking a mental health escape, a spot for wellness and pampering and a coffee break space while having their kids in the same vicinity. The age range is broken into 16 months to three years and three to six years. To date, 1,500+ moms are on the waiting list, eager for the opening day.
