The North West Company will integrate Recipe Management with Scale Management to deliver better analytics to improve the in-store customer experience
TORONTO, May 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Invafresh, the industry leading fresh grocery platform, today announced that The North West Company, currently using Scale Management, will expand its use of Invafresh's Fresh Retail Platform by deploying Recipe Management to ensure regulatory compliance, improve operating margins, and reduce shrink across their operations.
The North West Company was looking for a solution to include allergen and nutritional information on food labels so they could maintain compliance and to also provide good guidance to their customers when it comes to healthier eating options.
"We have been using Invafresh's Scale Management solution with very positive results due to the ease of use for our in-store employees and flexibility of the platform. Extending our relationship with Invafresh to include Recipe Management will help take our operations to the next level in the use of analytics to deliver an improved customer experience," said Vineet Gupta, Chief Information Officer at The North West Company. "Having Invafresh as the foundational technology for our perimeter store operations, including deli, meat, bakery, and produce, will allow us to scale efficiently as the business grows."
Utilizing the artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities native to the Invafresh Fresh Retail Platform, The North West Company will be able to measure the performance of each store, providing them with increased awareness of the efficiencies they are realizing food production operations, such as reducing shrink by projecting ingredient demand for each of their recipes. With Recipe Management, they will have a centralized source of recipe truth and be able to accurately forecast the cost of recipes against actual costs, allowing them to improve operating margins by accounting for production based on food, labor, packaging cost, and the recipe yield.
A key driver for The North West Company was the need to ensure compliance with food safety regulations in both the United States and Canada. As Invafresh is an industry proven solution when it comes to regulatory compliance, integrating Recipe Management with their existing Invafresh Scale Management solution means The North West Company will be able to produce regulatory compliant nutrition labels with ingredients and allergen statements with 100% accuracy across their enterprise.
"One of the goals of The North West Company is to provide healthier options to our northern communities as well as our southern communities," said Vineet Gupta, Chief Information Officer at The North West Company. "Invafresh will help us achieve this goal, while ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing shrink across our operations."
"With our Fresh Retail Platform, The North West Company will be able to unlock critical data that will allow them to better allocate labor resources, reduce shrink, and drive increased efficiencies," said Tim Spencer, Chief Executive Officer at Invafresh. "We are excited to strengthen our partnership with The North West Company as they seek to further automate their in-store processes to deliver an exceptional customer experience."
