VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 21, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Mothers Matter Centre, York University, and Demeter Press are hosting a virtual conference from May 5 -7, 2022. 'Learning from the Pandemic: Possibilities and Challenges for Mothers and Families' will present diverse perspectives to understand the multilevel impact of the pandemic. It specifically focuses on the strategies implemented and needed for mothers and families, and will help organizations, researchers, and policy-makers understand what needs to be done across sectors to make sure these vulnerable segments of the population are not left behind. Experts across various fields will interact and learn from each other in order to determine the best practices and develop cross-sectoral partnerships for more inclusive post-pandemic policy and services.

The conference organizers are using a number of networking and user-friendly features offered by vFairs to encourage engagement amongst attendees.
Natasha Vattikonda, Manager of Research and Advocacy at the Mothers Matter Centre, says, "This conference offers the unique opportunity for us to mobilize as a global community of gender equality advocates to share our personal stories, amplify the experiences of those we serve, and highlight the strategies of resilience implemented to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19, which has disproportionately affected vulnerable women and mothers. The goal is to leverage this shared knowledge to create cross-collaborative partnerships that prioritize mothers at the centre of post-pandemic recovery strategies. As the catalyst for change within families, communities, and economies, the social and economic inclusion of mothers is imperative for sustainable and optimal 'build back'."
Muhammad Younas, CEO & Founder at vFairs, added, "I'm glad that the Mothers Matter Centre chose vFairs as their event hosting platform. We are always looking for ways to revitalize communities after the impact of the pandemic, and this is the perfect opportunity to do so."
This event will take place from May 5-7th, 2022, and interested participants should register to purchase their tickets. Students and non-profit organizations will get these tickets at half the regular price.
