Custom Gift Baskets Go Red for the American Heart Association
Niles, IL (PRWEB) February 05, 2014 -- Thoughtful Presence, a unique gift basket based in Chicago, IL, has kicked off a month long fundraising campaign to support the American Heart Association. For the past 10 years, the American Heart Association has dedicated the month of February to raising awareness about the prevalence of heart disease in women and encouraging heart health.
Inspired by the annual event, Wear Red Day, Thoughtful Presence Owner, Mary Babiez, was drawn to support the effort. “In all honesty, my inspiration came from this great red dress I saw in a Macy’s ad. With February being the second biggest gift giving month of the year, I thought this would be a great time to help raise money for the AHA and raise awareness to our customer base. The AHA has a wealth of information and resources on heart health, and I really wanted to share that.”
Thoughtful Presence will donate 10% of all February sales to the American Heart Association. Mary also plans to use Thoughtful Presence Facebook page and Blog to share daily posts on healthy habits, recipes, exercise and more.
"February is a great month for gift giving. We have a new selection of Valentine gifts for men and women, specifically in the personal and spa gift collection. Our Baby Gift Baskets and Housewarming Gifts have been very popular as have our gardening gifts and travel gift baskets. These make wonderful birthday or retirement gifts, and all of these occasions occur throughout the month of February and in early spring.”
Thoughtful Presence is a custom gift basket company specializing in uniquely designed high quality functional gift baskets. “We combine boutique style gift products with the artistry of gift basket design. The result is a beautiful alternative to the traditional gourmet food gift basket.” The company also has a mission to support local and national organizations as much as possible. "We provide gifts to local churches and organizations for fund-raising events and donate to other causes close to our own hearts. As our business grows, we plan to grow our social mission equally". This is a commitment Mary made to herself when starting her business.
