User-driven production and distribution company for media content, Translucent Portals Inc., plans to officially launch Teacher's Partner shortly following the Company's Series A round of financing.
PLANO, Texas, July 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Teacher's Partner, a website providing top-notch teaching tools and content, is gearing up for a major partnership with a Company solely owned and operated by a majority of women. Created by Translucent Portals Inc., Teacher's Partner is dedicated to helping teachers unlock their students' full potential through resource sharing and assisting teachers in developing additional sources of residual income.
Offering resources created by K-12 classroom teachers, Teacher's Partner aims to provide high-quality materials for instruction and classroom management. "If it's supposed to be done in class, we want it for our site," said Adam Sayed Hamid, Founder and CEO of Translucent Portals Inc.
Teacher's Partner will limit membership to current K-12 teachers, retired teachers, professors of education from accredited institutions, and students in teacher preparatory programs.
"By limiting membership to those who are most intimately involved with education, we aim to create a professional community where teachers can interact with each other in a professional learning environment," Hamid explained.
Member teachers who develop content will be paid for licensing their material to the site. Like TV and pop stars, teachers will earn residuals every time their materials are downloaded or viewed. 70 percent of the site's total revenue will be split among the contributing teachers on a pro rata basis.
Much more than a repository for lesson plans and worksheets, Teacher's Partner will feature an interactive forum that enables teachers to post and answer questions related to education and to share their experiences, ranging from sage advice to amusing classroom anecdotes.
The site will also host teacher-created, education-related blogs and podcasts. "Teaching is a profession that has long lacked a voice," noted Hamid. "We wish to provide teachers with a forum to freely discuss their successes and problems."
The wide range of teacher-created educational materials on Teacher's Partner will include lesson plans, videos, PowerPoint Presentations, worksheets, photos, audio files and more. Lesson plans are TEKS and common core aligned and will include all formats (i.e. 4A, 5E, 7E, or Madeline Hunter). Teacher's Partner will sponsor a variety of contests to acquire this content. "Multimedia content will be one of our primary areas of focus," said Hamid. "We want to encourage teachers to create and license high-interest materials to help all students learn."
Hamid said he expects the site to begin full operation shortly following Translucent Portals Inc's Series A round of financing. The Company anticipates raising $3 m at a $33 m valuation by the end of July.
