Trident at AIU Professor Named Health Sciences Department Chair
Dr. Brandon Ryans assumed the role of Department Chair, Health Sciences in Trident's College of Health and Human Services on July 13. Dr. Ryans is an experienced educator, researcher, and administrator who joined Trident in 2017.
CHANDLER, Ariz., July 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trident at American InterContinental University (Trident) is excited to announce that Dr. Brandon Ryans has been appointed Department Chair, Health Sciences in the College of Health and Human Services. He joined Trident in 2017 as a Full-time Professor.
As Department Chair, Dr. Ryans will be overseeing the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) and Master of Science in Health Sciences (MSHS) programs. Additionally, he will be mentoring faculty members and facilitating their professional development, and overseeing curriculum development to ensure that material is consistent with current health sciences trends.
He will continue working closely with students, both in the classroom and as a member of Ph.D. in Health Sciences dissertation committees.

During his time at Trident, Dr. Ryans has excelled as an educator, administrator, and researcher. He has served on several academic committees, including Committee on Academic Standards and Academic Leadership Committee. He currently sits on the User Experience Committee and Policy Committee.
Dr. Ryans has been actively involved in course and program development, creating new and revised courses for the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration (BSHA) and Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA) programs.
His research interests include healthcare policy, elderly healthcare and preventative care, universal healthcare, and health informatics. Dr. Ryans currently serves as a peer reviewer for Globalization and Health, a journal that publishes original research on globalization and its effects on public health.
Dr. Ryans holds a Doctor of Health Education (DHEd) and Master of Science in Health Care Administration from A.T. Still University. He is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
