CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Queens University of Charlotte has once again been ranked as a top regional university in the South in the U.S. News & World Report 2021 "Best Colleges" guide. Queens earned the No. 13 spot among the 134 colleges and universities within this category.
Queens was also recognized for other achievements, advancing rank to 8th place in best undergraduate teaching and 16th place in most innovative schools. In the overall category for Regional Universities, Queens' alumni giving rate of 21% tied for 4th place.
U.S. News & World Report provides 50 different types of numerical rankings and lists to help students narrow their college search. The most heavily weighted criteria in the score calculation are student outcomes, which are measured by retention and graduation rates. Also factored into the rankings are faculty resources, expert opinions (votes by university presidents, provosts and chief enrollment officers), financial resources, student excellence and alumni giving.
