UCC specializes in power plant diving services, underwater intake/discharge and marine infrastructure rehabilitation, underwater carbon wrap services, water-storage tank cleaning services and underwater inspection services with divers and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
The Mid-Atlantic Region is already home to many of UCC's customers, and the new location will enhance customer service in that area. "We expect to add up to 50 new underwater construction service jobs in the region, and our new office will enable the company to better serve our customers," says Philip McDermott, UCC's Vice President – Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions. "We recently completed a substantial underwater coating services and carbon wrap project in April 2022 for one of the largest power generation companies in the USA. UCC's Glen Burnie office assisted in the project's safe completion, which utilized more than 45 commercial divers from within our company."
Tim Fisher, one of UCC's most experienced commercial divers and project managers, will be the Mid-Atlantic Operations Manager. With the addition of their Glen Burnie office, UCC will be able to expand their services to new customers in Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.
