Peterson, who specializes in business technology transformation, will help lead the company's roadmap, strategy, and technology investments to support its goal to deliver clean, actionable data to payers and providers. As CIO, he will guide the people, processes, and technologies within Verinovum to ensure delivery of the full potential of measurement, clinical improvement, and innovation opportunities for clients.

Before joining Verinovum, Peterson was Chief Technology Officer at Proficient, Inc., in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he managed all aspects of product development, quality, operations, system architecture, and related business processes. While there, he restructured the technical team to enable a new product direction using modern software deployment strategies. Peterson has also served as Vice President of Enterprise Architecture Primary at MedFusion, Inc., leading the architectural oversight of the company's development efforts. In addition, as Director of ProviderLink Technology at Covisint, he managed the company's ProviderLink solution, which provides a SaaS healthcare communication management program to connect more than 14,000 users at over 450 healthcare organizations.
Peterson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from North Carolina State University.
