Empower Brands President, Tom Welter, was chosen as one of University of Nebraska - Lincoln's 2023-2024 Entrepreneurship fellos.
GLEN ALLEN, Va., April 25, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Center for Entrepreneurship has chosen Tom Welter, President at Empower Brands as one of it's 2023-2024 Entrepreneur fellows. This invitation-only program taps into the nation's top business leaders to mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Welter will serve as a fellow for the 2023-24 academic year. Through a combination of engaging curriculum, events, and workshops aimed at developing student businesses, the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship educates more than 1,400 aspiring entrepreneurs every year.
Welter called the honor "unexpected and was grateful" to be chosen for such an important role in mentoring Nebraska's young entrepreneurs and leaders.
"I have worked with some of the finest leaders in American business both in publicly traded companies as well as the private sector," Welter said. "I am excited to share my knowledge and my personal journey with the students, professors and my fellow peers within the program. I look forward to collaboration and learning on both sides."
Welter thanks the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship, Chancellor Ronnie Green, Dean of the College of Business Kathy Farrell, and Sam Nelson the Director of the Center of Entrepreneurship for the opportunity to work with and enhance the knowledge of Nebraska's student entrepreneurs.
