Westinghouse Security Releases Nucli, the World’s Smartest Deadbolt on Indiegogo
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) August 26, 2015 -- Westinghouse Security announced today the release of the Westinghouse Security Nucli, the world’s most advanced smart lock. Exclusively available on Indiegogo, Nucli gives homeowners and business owners the ability to see who is at the door and interact with them from wherever they may be, home or away. This type of technology is radically changing home security and bringing it into the 21st century with exclusive features, like fingerprint recognition, virtual keys, smartphone alerts and more, not available anywhere else. The campaign has a funding goal of $50,000 to offset manufacturing costs as well as interact and engage with Indiegogo's audience of early adopters.
“Indiegogo enables both startups and established companies, like Westinghouse Security, to connect with an engaged global community of early adopters when bringing a new product to market,” said Jerry Needel, senior vice president of sales and market development at Indiegogo. “As the world’s largest crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo helps make the ideas of today become the innovative products of tomorrow.”
The Nucli smart lock uses Wi-Fi to connect with a mobile app that’s available on both iOS, Android and Windows devices. The app allows users to receive images from Nucli’s outdoor camera, as well as real-time alerts on their phone, laptop or tablet. Nucli contains accelerometers that alert users when a door is left open for too long, and the smart lock also detects when the door closes, locking it automatically. Nucli provides fingerprint recognition and virtual keys, shared with up to 50 users, without the hassle of duplicating and keeping track of physical keys. Users can customize the LCD touchscreen displays and doorbell with any MP3 sounds.
Early bird pricing begins at $299, with future retail pricing expected at $439.95. The smart lock will be shipped to Indiegogo contributors in mid-November 2015 and is expected to be in select retail stores nationwide in 2016. Staying true to Westinghouse’s dedication to creating quality products that complement personal tastes, the Nucli will be available in a variety of colors and finishes including Satin Chrome, Oil Rubbed Bronze and Polished Brass.
Nucli contains a multitude of high-tech features which include:
- Fingerprint, PIN pad and smartphone access
- Smartphone alerts keep users informed 24/7
- Integrated Bluetooth, Z-Wave and Wi-Fi provide connectivity with other smart devices
- The exterior camera, together with inside and outside speakers and microphones, lets owners speak with and see visitors without opening the door, or even being home
- Visitors can leave voice messages if users are unavailable
