MEADVILLE, Pa., April 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "The Navy Way": an intricate personal account, is the creation of published author William L. Crouse, a retired industrial arts teacher and enlisted US Navy airman.
Crouse writes, "This book is actually two books in one. The first book is the memoir of how the author grew up during the 'Great Depression' (1929–1940) and 'World War II' (called the 'Home Front') as a young boy. The stories contained in this book are about how today's generation's elders sacrificed so much for their children and all future generations. This story is about how he lived during such a tough time as a young man and made his way into the Navy.
"The second book, The Navy Way, is about the author's firsthand experiences as an US Navy enlisted airman. He served in the Navy during the 'Korean War' from 1950–1952, as a radio technician and went to Korea three times. He was with Air Group #2 and Air Group #19 aboard several different aircraft carriers, such as the Boxer, Valley Forge, Philippine Sea, and Princeton. He earned the 'GI Bill' and went to college at SUNY Oswego, in New York State. During his time there, he earned a BS degree in industrial arts. He then went on to be an industrial arts teacher in Tupper Lake, NY. In 1983, he retired after teaching for twenty-six years."
