DARTMOUTH, Nova Scotia, Aug. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nick Eh 30, professional gamer and YouTube's top streaming personality, is moving his live broadcasts to Twitch, the leading service, and community for live, multiplayer entertainment. YouTube will continue to host Nick's popular video-on-demand catalog, where many of his highlights will be regularly updated and available for viewing. Twitch, however, will be the exclusive home for his broadcast starting Sept. 1. Nick cited his renewed interest in competitive play, maintaining a positive chat experience and Twitch's live broadcasts as new opportunities to serve his audience.
While Nick regularly collaborated with top streamers outside of YouTube's platform, Twitch-exclusive competitions will allow him the opportunity to intensify his training and match against Fortnite's top players. 'Twitch Rivals,' for example, will host 100 unique events in 2019 alone and offer exclusive opportunities to compete for prizes and millions of dollars in prize money. Twitch's live chat and advanced moderation tools will ensure Nick maintains a positive, collegial spirit with his fans and allow him to emphasize his supportive, good-hearted nature.
"My community means everything to me," said Nicholas Amyoony, also known as Nick Eh 30. "At Twitch, I'll be able to engage fans in new ways, compete in platform-only competitions and collaborate with many of Fortnite's best players. This is a big move for us, and I couldn't be more excited to have my fans follow me to Twitch."
Nick's YouTube members who choose to subscribe on Twitch will have their subscription tenure matched and badges awarded over the coming weeks.
"We're excited to welcome Nick and his community to Twitch," said Kendra Johnson, General Manager of Global Talent Business at Twitch. "Our goal has always been to give streamers the tools they need to create engaging multiplayer entertainment experiences for the Twitch community, and we're looking forward to working with Nick to build on his success."
Nick made the announcement live this morning at 8:45 a.m. EST after his feed was interrupted with a special video. He then hosted a Q&A in which he addressed his community and welcomed feedback. For a recap of the morning's experience, visit: http://bit.ly/2LeCOM5
