Warrior Women: The Voices of Changes is an original feminist documentary presented in 12 'Chapters'. Each chapter is paired with rich, symphonic music that highlights the history of feminism - featuring activists tackling civil rights, climate change, human trafficking, women's rights in Iran and child marriage, among other social justice issues. Orchestra Moderne NYC, described as a "first-rate classical ensemble",* will premiere at Lincoln Center, NYC on September 20, 2019 and will include guest performers and visuals that give voice, hope and inspiration to women and girls around the world.
Amy Andersson, referred to as "America's most watched symphony orchestra conductor",** joins forces with dynamic female Hollywood film composers - Lolita Ritmanis, Penka Kouneva, Starr Parodi, Isolde Fair, Miriam Cutler, Mandy Hoffman, Anne-Kathrin Dern, Nathalie Bonin and Sharon Farber to honor real life Women Warriors, global activists, who have battled against social injustice, championed gender equality, fought for the environment, civil and human rights and the educational rights of every girl in the World.
Funds raised for this project go directly to the New State York registered non-profit Music Resonates, Inc, 501(c)3, which funds women and minority composers featured in socially relevant concerts performed by Orchestra Moderne NYC. Your contribution will support production costs for the world premiere of Women Warriors: The Voices of Change at Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall. This is a non-profit special concert event.
