zSpace Wins ISTE Best in Show Award for Second Consecutive Year
PHILADELPHIA, Penn. and SUNNYVALE, Calif. (PRWEB) July 08, 2015 -- For the second year, zSpace is a winner of the Tech & Learning magazine’s ISTE Best of Show Award. The zSpace Virtual Reality STEM Lab is among the 52 products selected as a winner from the more than 550 companies exhibiting at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference and Expo (ISTE 2015) in Philadelphia, last week.
With zSpace, students interact with virtual environments to discover concepts, such as the complexity of human anatomy or the components of an engine, in ways often impractical or impossible in the real world — maximizing the level of their engagement as the sciences come to life. Using virtual reality, students can perform highly engaging tasks that are often too complex, expensive and/or dangerous for the classroom. Imagine dissecting a human heart without getting messy or building a robot without having to worry about limited supplies or student safety. In addition, zSpace learning applications excite students about learning as they build experiments, complete projects, and use tools to explore e-content.
The products were selected by an anonymous panel of educator judges, who scoured the exhibit hall floor during the conference in Philadelphia. The judges rated their impressions on a sliding scale, evaluating areas such as quality and effectiveness, ease of use and creative use of technology. They then met in person to decide which technologies will have the most impact in the classroom and deserved to be named Best of Show. The winners will be featured in the August issue of Tech & Learning magazine. Click here for the official announcement.
