GreenCircle Certified, LLC is an internationally recognized third-party certification entity. It was established to ensure specificity in third-party certification after many misleading or unsubstantiated sustainability claims were encountered in the green marketplace. GreenCircle’s rigorous evaluation process provides trusted transparency that a manufacturer’s product claims are authentic.
“Customers need to know if a product or operation is in compliance with its sustainability claims,” said Clyde Roberson, Medeco director of product management. “GreenCircle provides third-party certification, which many customers need to achieve LEED v4 building certifications. Our sustainability strategy at Medeco is to attain the highest level of transparency for brand integrity and that translates into customer confidence."
“Each product certified by GreenCircle receives a Certified Environmental Facts (CEF) label that is similar to a nutrition label,” added David Matherly, Medeco product line manager. “The CEF details all the necessary environmental information in a straightforward, easy-to-read manner. The label also highlights product attributes as well as sustainable advances in manufacturing.”
What began as a purposeful way to join the green building movement has resulted in a cultural shift to doing what's right—not only for the environment—but also for Medeco’s community, employees and customers. GreenCircle recognition is another step forward in Medeco’s strategy to provide customers with smart, sustainable building solutions.
