(PRWEB UK) 31 October 2014 -- Award winning Glaswegian Young Entrepreneur Nick Cohen, 24, has just sold a large stake in his near 11 year old business to another local company, Abica. PCR, who provides IT support to businesses across the UK, are now operating as part of the Abica Telecoms Group who provides Telecoms solutions to the same market. Nick says 'this is a match made in heaven, the businesses have aligned principles and already share quite a few clients.'
Nick first started his business in 2004, fixing PCs from his bedroom (literally!). Throughout his time at High School, Nick grew the business with the support from his Mum and Dad. Following High School, Nick enjoyed a short stint at Strathclyde University before leaving to focus on his business full time. In 2009, Nick opened his first repair centre in the Southside of Glasgow, serving the public. Alongside this, Nick formed PCR, a business to business IT provider. In 2011, the repair service expanded into the Merchant City and was subsequently purchased in 2012, leaving Nick in control of PCR. Nick saw this exit from PC Repair as well timed; the repair sector was and still is in decline.
Since 2012, PCR has enjoyed two years of serious growth, with 2014 representing a 10 fold increase in profits. Nick is very excited about the times ahead. He says, 'Abica will support our further UK wide expansion, which has been an ambition of mine for some time. I’m also excited that we’ll be growing our team from our head office in Glasgow, with a focus on graduate placements in 2015 and 2016.'
