5 Best Running Watches For 2014 By HRWC
Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- The best running watches for 2014 have been named by the Heart Rate Watch Company test staff.
"We've done a list of our five favorite running watches for going on five years now", says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "These are the favorites for now but will be subject to revision later this year if any new products that are really good come along".
"No iPhone products made the list because Smartphones just aren't anywhere near as accurate on distance as real GPS watches and we have the wheel measurement proof on that score", says Squire.
#1 Garmin Forerunner 620 - "Nothing else even comes close to this watch", says Squire. He adds, "It delivers great biometric data but it is the only watch that delivers data, like run oscillation, that can help you work on your biomechanics". The watch features Bluetooth, Wifi and weighs a mere 1.6 ounces with a very comfortable hinged band, plus cycling features are being added this year.
#2 Garmin Forerunner 220 - "Minus the biomechanical data this watch is the lightest fully integrated GPS running watch in the world at just 1.4 ounces", says Squire. "Garmin 220 is our top pick for women due to lightweight, great fit and superb data and it puts every other companies top products to shame".
#3 Polar V800 - Polar's new top-end triathlon watch is not due out until early April but it already has a buzz going in the marketplace. "This watch will feature 14 hour battery life, with adjustable recording intervals so it can go over 24 hours for ultra runners if needed", says Squire. He adds, "It will also be capable of heart rate in the water and offer Polar accurate heart rate and calorie data".
#4 Suunto Ambit 2 - "Suunto Ambit 2 is great for running but great on so many levels as a navigation watch, bike computer, ski watch and you name it", says Squire. He adds, "It is tough, durable and if it was a tad lighter it would be right there - but tough and light is a trade-off".
#5 TomTom Runner GPS Watch
"TomTom makes some of the best, most underrated GPS watch products on the market", says Squire. He adds, "It was the only new line that we took on in 2013 and there was a lot available to choose from, but testing is believing and most of our competition doesn't".
Call The Experts
"If you need some advice then just call the real experts at 866-586-7129", says Squire. He adds, "You can't fake expertise in-person, not a chance and thankfully we do not have to".
