CYPRESS, Calif. (PRWEB) August 11, 2018 -- The Board of Directors of the AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) proudly announces that Linda D. Bradley, M.D. has been appointed to become the organization’s Medical Director.
A past President of the AAGL, Dr. Bradley is a Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and Vice Chair of the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. She is the Director of Hysteroscopic Education for the Residency Program at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and was recently appointed Vice Chair for Diversity and Inclusion for the Cleveland Clinic Women’s Health Institute. Dr. Bradley also serves on the AAGL Anti-Harassment, Diversity and Incident Reporting taskforce and is a member of the Grievance Committee of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
“Dr. Bradley’s name consistently rose to the top of a field of very talented candidates. She is eminently qualified to do honor to this important position and our community,” says AAGL Board President, Gary N. Frishman, M.D. “Her vision is to improve the care of the women we serve by increasing AAGL member knowledge, fostering relationships with other medical societies, garnering industry support, and influencing future governmental policies that affect women.”
Dr. Bradley begins a four-year term as Medical Director on January 1, 2019. Her appointment comes on the heels of the retirement of the venerated Dr. Franklin D. Loffer, the current and first AAGL Medical Director. President Frishman offered thanks to Dr. Loffer and support to Dr. Bradley, on behalf of the AAGL Board and Membership.
“The AAGL Board extends our profound appreciation to Dr. Loffer for his service as Medical Director. He has worked assidously to formulate our organizational and medical policies and has been an ardent ambassador and inclusive leader throughout his 17-year tenure. While it is bittersweet to see his term come to an end, we are confident that Dr. Bradley is the perfect choice to lead the way forward.”
