Columbia Southern University Inaugurates President During 25th Commencement
Online Alabama university welcomes 781 graduates, "Dancing With the Stars" J.R. Martinez and USO Northwest Florida as it celebrates 25th anniversary.
ORANGE BEACH, Ala., Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Oct. 18-19, Columbia Southern University (CSU) will celebrate its 25th anniversary in a big way with its annual commencement ceremony, a service project benefitting the USO Northwest Florida and the inauguration of its president, Ken Styron.
Approximately 781 graduates and their guests are expected to attend this milestone as the university hosts its first commencement community service project with the USO Northwest Florida. The class of 2018 graduates and their guests will decorate and fill welcome bags for service members who are traveling to the Gulf Coast.
On Oct. 19, the commencement ceremony will feature keynote speaker J.R. Martinez. Martinez is an actor, best-selling author, U.S. Army veteran and winner of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." The ceremony will also formally commemorate Styron's transition into the role of president. Styron's tenure as president began on May 1, 2018.
