Costello, Inc. Employee Wins 2019 Young Engineer of the Year
HOUSTON (PRWEB) March 05, 2019 -- Ariel Mejia Jr., P.E and assistant project manager for Costello, Inc. was recently named Houston Engineers Week Young Engineer of the Year by the Houston Hispanic Architects & Engineers Society.
As a 2019 Young Engineer of the Year recipient, Ariel was recognized along with other Greater Houston Area engineers of 17 professional societies because of his continued commitment to improving the welfare of the community.
“For those who have yet to have the pleasure of working with Ariel, he is an extremely bright, hard-working engineer. He is an assistant project manager in Costello's land development department and is dedicated to always finding the best solutions for his clients. Ariel is currently working on projects for multiple developers and builders, including Veranda for Johnson Development Corp and Bryan Crossing for KB Home. This award is well-deserved and is sure to be just the beginning of many more years of success for Ariel,” says Dustin O’Neal, President of Costello, Inc.
Ariel has been with Costello for four years and focuses his efforts on Residential Land Development and Levee Improvement Districts, specifically in Fort Bend County. His passion for civil engineering is evident through his unwavering work ethic and commitment to doing more than what’s asked of him.

Outside of working at Costello, Mejia serves as the secretary for Houston Hispanic Architects & Engineers Society (HHAE), which was the organization who nominated him for this prestigious award. He has been an active member of the HHAE since graduating from the University of Houston in 2013.
