Culinary Cannabis Certification
The Culinary Cannabis Association (CCA) is the first governing body to certify amateur and professional chefs with the techniques, terminology and safety procedures necessary to cook with cannabis responsibly, effectively, and legally.
TORONTO, July 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The CCA is proud to announce it's inaugural certification series with a sold-out seminar in Toronto. Hamilton, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Halifax are next, with more dates being added soon. The goal of this program is to create an industry standard for the culinary community around the world, as more countries continue to legalize cannabis.
There is a level of accountability and complexity with cannabis that does not exist with any other ingredient. And an unprecedented opportunity. Together with celebrated Cannabis Chef Travis Petersen "The Nomad Cook," certified Cannabis Sommelier Tamara Lilien "CannaLily," and craft industry consultants LAF Society, the CCA has developed an essential curriculum designed to teach and certify people to utilize cannabis as a legal culinary ingredient. Incorporating theoretical, practical and sensory elements, this curriculum is a must for anyone who intends to cook and serve cannabis infused food. Students will gain the key knowledge, skills and experience required to transition into the world of legal culinary cannabis.
Our network of professional chefs, cannabis sommeliers, and educators will continue to refine the art and science of culinary cannabis, as we collect data to inform standards, best practices - and even future legislation.
