The truck is on display at Planet Ford on I-59 in Humble, Texas. They’re selling an original one-of-a-kind custom 2018 Ford F-150, and the proceeds benefit Boots for Troops, a charity that aims to uplift and empower the overall morale and mental well-being of American deployed troops.
Many deployed men and women are unable to afford the cost of travel home to visit loved ones during the holidays, so the Texas-based charity arranges it all through its holiday travel assistance program. The program pays for flights, so that soldiers can travel home to their loved ones for the holidays. Since the charity began, it has covered 74 trips for deserving service members and sent more than 700 custom care packages.
In effort to raise awareness and money for Boots For Troops, Planet Ford in Humble & Spring have donated a new 2018 F-150 to be customized and featured on the TV show, Texas Metal. The show airs on December 26, 2018, and Houstonian Bill Carlton, owner of Ekstensive Metal, stars in the Velocity TV show. Carlton has wrapped this red hot truck in a desert design with a luxurious leather interior, LED lighting, Wet Sound Stereo System, American Force Fury Tires and T-Rex Grill Light Bar. The Pixel wrapped Ford F-150 XLT Edition is a powerful pickup in a class of its own.

Boots for Troops also offers custom care packages to soldiers. To date, the charity has sent out 705 care packages tailored to each individual. The care packages are designed to raise the morale of U.S. troops all over the world. U.S. Navy veteran Jimmy Rogers and his wife Lindsey founded the charity and work hard to find special items for every shipment, whether it’s a jersey from their favorite sports team, cookies from their hometown bakery, or much-needed footwear.
“I found my fellow crew members were lonely and missed the comforts of home,” Rogers says. “When care packages came, they were often filled with poor quality items or things they didn’t need. Although sent by caring individuals, there was nothing personal about the packages. Every care package we send is customized to each recipient. What makes us unique is that they all contain a pair of boots.”
