Irene was chosen for membership by the San Francisco Business Times Leadership Trust Selection Committee due to her experience, leadership and influence in the local business landscape and beyond. Her organization, Minds Matter San Francisco, is an education nonprofit that helps low-income high school students rewrite their socio-economic future by providing dedicated mentorship, academic support, and lifelong professional community to students and alumni. Since 2010, 100 percent of Minds Matter San Francisco's 120 graduates have gained acceptance to top universities, and 97 percent have graduated from college within 4 years.
