NCL Winter Camp Offers Cybersecurity Puzzles On Social Media
CHEVY CHASE, Md. (PRWEB) February 12, 2019 -- There’s good reason to stay warm indoors this winter, and it’s not just to avoid the freezing weather. Update your cybersecurity skills while having fun with the National Cyber League (NCL) Winter Camp puzzles.
Every Tuesday starting Feb. 12, 1 p.m. ET, for six weeks, NCL will host a different puzzle on their Facebook and Twitter pages. Challenges run the gamut of steganography and cryptography to open source intelligence. Anyone who answers correctly will be entered in a drawing for a Starbucks gift card every week.
“It only takes a few moments to keep yourself at the top of your game. Enjoy the weekly Winter Camp series puzzles as a way to keep your skills sharp, and enter for your chance to win prizes along the way,” said Kaitlyn Bestenheider, NCL chief player ambassador (@CryptoKait on Twitter).
To play NCL’s Winter Camp, like the NCL Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/nationalcyberleague/ or follow NCL on Twitter, https://twitter.com/NatlCyberLeague.
Throughout the year, the NCL hosts a Fall and Spring Season. These competitions allow high school and college students to engage in exercises and challenges in a virtual stadium and gym to develop and improve their skills. Players of all levels encounter competition that mimics the real world. From these seasonal events, participants receive Scouting Reports, which assess and validate their skills among various cybersecurity learning objectives and can later be viewed by potential employers.
