New Secure Desktop 11 for Windows 10
Visual Automation releases new Secure Desktop Endpoint Security Software for Windows 10
GRAND LEDGE, Mich., July 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Visual Automation today released version 11 of Secure Desktop. This is an Endpoint Security solution for Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019. Secure Desktop 11 is a 32-bit application that is 64-bit Windows aware. Secure Desktop information is available at https://visualautomation.com/securedesktop.
It is occasionally essential to remove functionality from a software product. Secure Desktop 11 removes support for legacy versions of Windows XP, 7, and 8. We also removed Internet Explorer specific features. This streamlining of code and user interface sets the table for future Windows 10 enhancements.
"For version 11 of Secure Desktop, we retained configuration compatibility with Secure Desktop 7, 8, and 10 while improving user configuration management," said Duane Fahey, President and Founder of Visual Automation, Inc. "Secure Desktop 11 is DPI (Dots Per Inch) aware, improving the user interface. Secure Desktop 11 supports Windows 10 on ARM in emulation. These and future enhancements are only possible by removing legacy Windows support."
As with previous versions of Secure Desktop, Secure Desktop 11 can easily import icon information from the Explorer shell, has a window wizard for window manipulation, icons and tabs can be password protected, user activity can be audited and over 350 keyboard shortcuts can be disabled. A new included utility package, Secure Utilities, provides registry settings and small utilities based on Secure Desktop utility features from earlier versions.
Secure Desktop 11 is great for Point of Sale, Cafe use, Factory Automation, Lab use, Kiosks, Hotel, Restaurant, Library -- really anyplace a Windows computer is used in a public location. Secure Desktop 11 is also used to aid in 21 CFR Part 11 compliance in the Pharmaceutical industry.
