RTI International Announces Investment and Partnership with SPH Analytics
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (PRWEB) January 31, 2019 -- RTI International (RTI), a leading research institute, today announced an investment in SPH Analytics (SPH), a portfolio company of STG Partners (STG) focused on health care analytics and population health management. The transaction includes RTI becoming a minority equity investor in SPH.
In addition to becoming an investor, RTI will partner with SPH to advance the goals of value-based health care, which include improving population health, reducing overall cost of care and improving the patient experience. RTI will also work with SPH to extend its research and consulting services to improve the health and well-being of individuals, communities and populations.
“Evidence-based solutions with real-world relevance are key to helping payers and providers improve decision-making as they transition to value-based care” said Linda Dimitropoulos, PhD, Vice President of the Division for eHealth, Quality and Analytics at RTI International. “SPH’s extensive portfolio of patient and member experience surveys and engagement programs are highly complementary with RTI’s scientific leadership in maximizing the impact of available data to help organizations implement value-based care and improve health care experiences and outcomes for high-risk populations.”
SPH’s award-winning Triple Aim solutions use clinical, financial, consumer data and industry-leading analytics to provide insights and impact to health plans, integrated health networks, ACOs, hospitals, ambulatory care providers and physician groups. SPH is the nation’s largest member experience measurement and analytics firm and has been serving clients for more than 25 years.
“We are excited to be an investment partner with STG and add our support to the team at SPH,” said Matt Jenkins, Vice President and head of corporate development at RTI International. “This deal fits well with our existing investment portfolio and philosophy of investing alongside strong management teams and investment partners in select health care domains. SPH’s focus on improving patient experience is well aligned with RTI’s mission to improve the human condition by turning knowledge into practice.”
“We are thrilled to have the support of RTI as we commence the next stage of growth for SPH,” said Amy Amick, President and CEO of SPH Analytics. “SPH’s technology and data offerings coupled with RTI’s breadth and depth of expertise across population health, finance and payment, safety and quality, and health data analytics will help drive real impact for our clients as they adopt value-based care models and ultimately improve health for the communities they serve.”
