Seven EdTech Vendors Earn Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification
Vendor certifications highlight that an edtech product prioritizes interoperability
BROOKLYN, N.Y., June 13, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- InnovateEDU's Project Unicorn announces seven education technology product vendors that have been awarded the Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification. The certification signals that an edtech product prioritizes data interoperability or the seamless, secure, and controlled exchange of usable data between applications. It also highlights to school districts that these are vendors with a commitment to helping educators provide student-centered learning experiences and data-informed instruction.
The following seven edtech products have earned the Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification. These companies are joining a rapidly growing group of vendors who have completed the certification process.
- Amplify, a product by Amplify Education
- classroom.cloud, a product by NetSupport Incorporated
- EdGraph®
- Frost, a product by LearningMate*
- Infinite Campus
- My Math Academy, a product by Age of Learning, Inc.*
- My Reading Academy, a product by Age of Learning, Inc.*
*These vendors applied for re-certification following the recently updated Project Unicorn Interoperability Rubric.
"The ability to make data-driven decisions empowers educators to make the best choices for their students' learning,'' noted Erin Mote, Executive Director of InnovateEDU. "The Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification is a two-fold benefit. On the vendor side, it allows companies to confidently say they are meeting a growing demand for interoperable tools. On the educator side, it allows schools and districts to select edtech products that meet their needs and gain the best value from their investment."
Project Unicorn Interoperability Certifications are featured on various product indexes, such as the Edsurge Product Index and LearnPlatform. These platforms allow customers access to a wealth of edtech product information.
"The Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification is an integral tool used by school systems and edtech vendors to evaluate edtech tools that prioritize interoperability. Our team reviews edtech products against the newly updated interoperability rubric to determine where the product is rated on the rubric," noted Chloe Sanducci, Project Manager for Project Unicorn. "We congratulate and celebrate the products that are newly certifying and those that are re-certifying for their commitment to interoperability."
"We know all too well how siloed data systems can consume organizational resources and shift focus away from instruction. EdGraph was built to solve this problem and divert resources back into the classroom. Our Project Unicorn Certification signals to LEAs, collaboratives, state agencies, and edtech vendors that our platform is built around powerful, proven, and effective data interoperability functions," said Matt Adler, Director of Customer Experience for EdGraph.
Edtech vendors earning the Project Unicorn certification show a distinct commitment to the development of products that allow educators to make data-driven decisions.
"Amplify creates products that save time for educators and meet the diverse needs of schools and districts in all 50 states," said Aaron Harnly, Chief Technology Officer for Amplify. "It is a priority that our programs integrate with the variety of digital tools used in classrooms today. We are proud to earn this Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification and showcase Amplify's commitment to improving interoperability across the education sector."
