SeventySix Capital Expands Focus by Adding Michael Schreiber
Schreiber Brings Operating and Media Expertise from NBCU, Comcast and Altice USA
PHILADELPHIA, May 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- From its position at the epicenter of tech, sports, media and betting, SeventySix Capital, the sports tech venture capital company, sees a grand reawakening and convergence within the sports industry. As highlighted by COVID-19, sports is changing forever. Sports and media are becoming more tech and data-focused, more player-focused, and more personalized and interactive. To accelerate participation in this evolution and enhance its investment strategy in sports tech, esports, sports betting and the overall sports-consumer experience, SeventySix Capital announces that accomplished media executive Michael Schreiber has joined as a General Partner.
As a General Partner at SeventySix Capital, Schreiber will work closely with Managing Partners Wayne Kimmel and Jon Powell, and Managing Director, Chad Stender, to accelerate the growth of its sports technology portfolio companies, expand its strategic investor network, and enhance the team's media, digital and television relationships.
The addition of Schreiber adds operational experience and a media competency to the SeventySix Capital team as it continues to invest in the convergence of the physical and digital worlds in sports where media serves as the glue between the two. Schreiber served as the Chief Content Officer at Fortune 500 company Altice USA and President of Altice USA News.
