SignatureCare Announces Fall 2018 Medical Scholarship Winner
HOUSTON (PRWEB) September 28, 2018 -- SignatureCare Emergency Center Mr. Matthew Davis has been awarded SignatureCare Emergency Centers 2018 Fall Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00. Davis is a student at Texas A&M University with a 3.8 GPA and is majoring in Public Health and Pre-Nursing. We believe Mr. Davis to be worthy winner of this year’s scholarship as he enlists leadership qualities and strives to help make the world a better place by contributing his time encouraging individuals to receive vaccinations and demonstrating strong compassion by helping others with special needs. Mr. Davis has worked in a summer volunteer program which allowed him to become familiar with the healthcare industry.
“Matthew Davis was selected for this scholarship because of his defined passion and mission to serve taking care of others.” Said Rhonda Abbe, Director of Operations for SignatureCare Emergency Centers. “He is leading by example at his university and I feel he has demonstrated how small actions can have a great impact on individuals, and improve their quality of life.” Abbe continued to say.
SignatureCare launched the Scholarship program scholarship in the Spring of 2016. Davis is the seventh student to be awarded the scholarship and was selected based on his compassionate essay and video. The scholarship award of $1,000 is given in the Fall and in the Spring semester. The scholarship is open to students across America; applicants must demonstrate their passion in the medical field and must have a 3.0 GPA or greater. Applicants are required to submit a video and an essay with a response to the following question: “Who or what Inspired you to enter the medical field?”
