TotalEnergies Selects Enode for Partnership to Accelerate Energy Innovation
Oslo, Norway and Paris, France (PRWEB) March 28, 2023 -- Enode, a climate tech startup accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy system by connecting and optimizing the world's energy devices, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with TotalEnergies, one of the world's leading energy companies.
The partnership will support greater renewable energy engagement and usage, by enabling consumers to connect their solar inverter, HVAC and other energy devices into the TotalEnergies app. Consumers would be able to track and optimize their home energy usage and contribute to the electricity grid flexibility needs, ultimately reducing emissions and costs. Further, the companies will also collaborate on developing new business models that will help accelerate the adoption of renewable energy sources.
Enode CEO and co-founder Henrik Langeland commented, "We are thrilled to partner with global energy leader TotalEnergies to further our mission of accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy system. Combining TotalEnergies' global presence and energy sector experience with Enode’s ability to connect and optimize energy devices, we can lower costs and carbon emissions from energy usage.”
Enode’s API lets companies connect more than 300+ energy devices - electric vehicles (EVs) to heat pumps and solar inverters to home batteries - to their app. Instead of managing connections to each device, Enode enables companies to connect energy apps through a single integration and optimize them to save money and reduce their carbon footprint.
Thibault Flichy, Program Director at TotalEnergies On, added, "We are excited to work with Enode to bring innovative and sustainable energy solutions to the market. This partnership is a great example of our commitment to collaboration to support the energy transition and our focus on finding new and innovative ways to reduce carbon emissions."
Enode was founded in 2020 and is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a more sustainable energy system. By connecting the world’s energy devices, Enode helps unlock energy data to improve consumption and usage, lowering costs and carbon emissions while supporting a more flexible and resilient grid able to scale with growing demand from industry electrification.
TotalEnergies, formerly Total, is a global energy company operating in over 130 countries. The company is committed to developing renewable energy solutions and reducing carbon emissions to address climate change.
The partnership between Enode and TotalEnergies developed as a result of Enode joining the TotalEnergies On program, a six-month start-up accelerator dedicated to driving greater collaboration and innovation in the electricity sector.
