Tremont Strategies Group Welcomes New Additions To Government Affairs Team
Firm recruits veteran attorney Khushbu Webber as Vice President & General Counsel, while expanding its group of Associates
BOSTON, June 11, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tremont Strategies Group (TSG), a Boston-based, bipartisan government relations firm, announced today that Khushbu Webber, Esq. is joining the team as Vice President & General Counsel. The firm also adds Alexandra Eby as Government Affairs Associate, while promoting Tristan Thomas to Senior Government Affairs Associate. The firm has recently added a number of major accounts on the state and federal levels.
Webber has over a decade of policy, government relations, and legal experience in the public and non-profit sectors. Her career in public policy began in the Massachusetts State Senate, where she served as Associate Counsel to the Senate Committee on Ways and Means, primarily serving under then-Chairwoman, Senator Karen E. Spilka. In this role, Webber reviewed fiscal and public policy implications of the state's multibillion dollar budget and other legislation before the Committee. Webber was the primary legal counsel on multiple pieces of major legislation, notably, the establishment of a regulatory framework for transportation network companies in the Commonwealth.
Webber most recently worked as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the City of Somerville, where she oversaw strategic planning, intergovernmental and external affairs, and development and implementation of policies. Earlier in her career, Webber served as Director of Public Policy for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. Upon graduating from law school, she worked as an assistant district attorney in Norfolk County. A Chicago native, Webber received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She serves on the board of directors of Enroot and the Children's Investment Fund and is licensed to practice law in both Massachusetts and Illinois

TSG also hired Alexandra Eby for the role of Government Affairs Associate where she will manage internal communication and strategic planning. Eby previously worked for TSG on the research team as a co-op and previously held the position of Legal Assistant at Eze Software. She graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics and a minor in Communications.
Finally, the firm promoted Tristan Thomas to Senior Government Affairs Associate, servicing both the state and federal teams. Thomas completed his degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a concentration in Political Philosophy at Northeastern University. Thomas joined the TSG team full time in 2019.
