HOUSTON, May 28, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- White Deer Energy ("White Deer") announced recently that Jim Meneely and Joe Bob Edwards have been appointed the firm's Managing Partners. Tom Edelman and Ben Guill, who founded White Deer in 2008, will continue as Partners helping to oversee the firm and its investments. Jim and Joe Bob have assumed responsibility for White Deer's day-to-day activities, including investment screening and analysis as well as professional development of the firm's investment team. The firm's four Partners will continue to comprise its Investment Committee.

About Joe Bob Edwards
Joe Bob joined White Deer in 2011 as a Partner of the firm and member of the Investment Committee. He is currently a board member of Cust-O-Fab, Flogistix, GPS, Quanah, Axios, Extract, Midstream Texas, TorcSill and Unicat. He was previously involved with White Deer's investments in Accelerated Production and Epic Midstream.
Prior to joining White Deer, Joe Bob spent 13 years at First Reserve Corporation. He was the head of First Reserve's oilfield service and equipment investment team, which at its peak oversaw over $4.0 billion in equity investments. In addition, Joe Bob served as the chairman of First Reserve's development committee, with management responsibility for the firm's junior investment staff. He began his career with Simmons & Company International.
Joe Bob received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves on the Executive and Advisory Boards for the University of Texas, McCombs Energy Initiative. Joe Bob is also President of the Episcopal High School Dad's Club and has spent a number of years as volunteer coach and board member of Post Oak Little League.
About Jim Meneely
Jim joined White Deer in 2008 as a Partner of the firm and member of the Investment Committee. He is currently a board member of Covenant Testing Technologies, Patriot Well Solutions, Riverside, Deep Well Services, U.S. Rod, Exero, Unicat and BryteMove. He was previously involved with White Deer's investments in Fiberspar, O-Tex, Shores Lift, Legacy, RockPile and On Point.
Prior to joining White Deer, Jim served as CEO of Gray Wireline Services. From 2003 to 2008, he worked for Halliburton Company where he was a member of the executive leadership team responsible for mergers and acquisitions, capital planning and strategy development. Prior to 2003, Jim worked as an energy investment banker with Simmons & Company International.
Jim holds an M.B.A in Finance from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and a B.E. and B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College. He serves on the University of Virginia's Jefferson Scholar Selection Committee.
