ACHC Announces Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Cary, NC (PRWEB) September 06, 2017 -- Accreditation Commission for Health Care will host its third-annual Chipping in for Charity golf tournament on May 21, 2018, at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. Players of all levels will have the opportunity to ‘‘chip in for charity’’ while enjoying one of North Carolina’s top- rated golf courses.
Besting fundraising goals in each of its first two years, the 2017 tournament raised $30,000 for two local charities, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle and SAFEchild. This year’s net proceeds will, once again, benefit these charities.
‘‘ACHC is honored to support Big Brothers Big Sisters and SAFEchild, and we hope that the donations raised through our third-annual charity golf tournament will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those served by these wonderful organizations,’’ said José Domingos, President and CEO of ACHC. ‘‘We are truly grateful to those who’ve supported the tournament and those who’ve come out to play. It is gratifying to see how this event has grown each year; it is a testament to the generosity of those involved.”
For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (‘‘Bigs’’) and children ages 6-14 (‘‘Littles’’). They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
SAFEchild was established in 1992 by the Junior League of Raleigh. SAFEchild, an acronym for Stop Abuse for Every Child, supports families with a wide range of needs by offering parent education and support services that aim to prevent abuse and neglect. The goal for each family turning to SAFEchild is the same: to build a stronger family and create a healthy, nurturing environment, which allows children to thrive.
