Advanced Group Hosts 25th Anniversary Charity Celebration; Donates $110,000 to Charity
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- The Advanced Group announced that on September 25, 2014 it held a special event in honor of the company’s 25th anniversary.
The Advanced Group is a diversified professional staffing, consulting, and outsourcing organization with four businesses: Advanced Clinical, Advanced Resources, TriWorth, and the WunderLand Group. Founded in 1988 in Deerfield, IL, the company has 225 employees in 10 different offices throughout the U.S. Advanced Group places thousands of talented professionals each year in clinical research, HR, technology, finance, accounting, healthcare, office, marketing, and creative positions. The Advanced Group also offers CRO and RPO solutions.
The Advanced Group commemorated their anniversary milestone with a special charity contest that aligned closely with their mission, “making a difference.” In this unique Charity Contest, Advanced’s 4 businesses (Advanced Resources, Advanced Clinical,WunderLand Group and TriWorth) plus their Shared Services team competed against each other throughout the year to achieve several business stretch goals. Each team “played for” charities that were meaningful to them: The Alzheimer’s Association, Habitat for Humanity, National Federation of the Blind, Open World Learning, PAWS, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Advanced dedicated a portion of their annual profits to the contest and they also received generous donations from their suppliers, vendors, and company leaders. Advanced raised over $110,000 for their charity contest and on September 25, 2014, they donated these funds to their chosen charities at a special 25th Anniversary Charity Celebration at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago.
In addition to the charities, their 200 guests included clients, business partners, special invitees, and employees. This special evening celebrated the spirit of making a difference. “It is an honor to celebrate our company’s history with all of you tonight,” said Leo Sheridan, Advanced Group CEO and Founder. Leo recognized and thanked many of the people who helped shape Advanced into the company it is today.
Employees from Advanced then introduced each of their charities and explained why their charity was meaningful to their team. A special highlight came when Alex Gamino, the son of Advanced’s Controller, Nelly Gamino, spoke on behalf of the National Federation of the Blind. Alex, who is 12, has been blind since birth. “The programs and seminars my mother mentioned would not be possible without generous donations such as the one Advanced will make,” said Alex. ”On behalf of all the members of NFBI and my family, I would like to thank Mr. Leo Sheridan for his generosity, Mr. Jim Johnson (Advanced’s CFO) for such an innovative contest, and every one of the Advanced employees for making this happen, for wanting to make a difference, and for working hard to achieve your goals.”
The event was a special evening for everyone in attendance. “The celebration was truly remarkable from start to finish. Advanced paid attention to every last detail and the speeches from their employees and charities were wonderful and heartwarming,” said Judd Hoffman, CEO of erecruit, the technology that powers Advanced’s businesses. “The selflessness surrounding their 25th anniversary is so consistent with Advanced’s culture and it is truly a differentiator.”
